Antoniadis Lens

Photography is not the goal of happiness, but the means to get there.

Antoniadis Lens is the photographic work of George K. Antoniadis, a photographer based in Thessaloniki and Chania, Greece, working in fine-art, documentary and street photography. The work is made slowly and mostly on foot — on black-and-white film, on a 1990s point-and-shoot inherited from my grandfather, and on whatever camera is in my hands when something is worth keeping. What it looks for is not the decisive moment but the overlooked one: the districts nobody photographs, the people who cross a frame without being seen, the hour when a place stops performing.
